File under “Comics I wish they’d reprint, but short of a movie deal, they never will,” Dakota North was a weird, weird series from mid-80s Marvel Comics. An understated action comedy about a stylish and sarcastic private eye written by Martha Thomases that enjoyed some drop-dead gorgeous art from Tony Salmons, this was so unlike everything else the 11 year old me was reading at the time, I didn’t know what to make of it.
