Days after finishing Rogue Trooper: Tales of Nu Earth Vol. 2, I’m still thinking about Cam Kennedy’s art from the book. He illustrates the majority of it, and it’s just amazing work – his use of blacks, his very particular linework, the whole thing. It’s art that’s got European influences, but a dynamism and power that feels influenced by American comics as well. Career best stuff, for sure, but also art that makes you wonder why more people aren’t influenced by it and/or ripping it off. The book’s worth getting for the art alone, and I rarely say that.
