Three things:
- Yes, Wolverine uses a gun now, because – well, I don’t know. I mean, I know the story reasons, but I guess I don’t get why the story, if that makes sense. “He wasn’t bad-ass enough with knives in his knuckles! How can we make this character more edgy?”
- Considering the excessive, horrific amount of gun violence in the U.S. – I seem to remember reading a statistic that said that we’ve seen a school shooting every two days of classes since the year started – I can’t help but feel squeamish about trying to make “BLAM” a “cool” sound-effect. I feel like that makes me a bad person, somehow – some kind of overreacting, “blame the media” nut – but there’s something about it that feels unpleasant to me.
