You guys talking about 5 Years Later on the podcast got me thinking. Do you know the history or if there is a story about how Death showed up later on in that run?

I could be wrong – and this being the Internet, if I am, someone’s sure to tell me – but I think it was simply a case of Keith Giffen wanting to use her. Wasn’t this around the same time as her appearance in Captain Atom? Maybe it was just that she was popular and DC thought it had a new personification of the concept it could play with.

Is there any chance of a Phonogram story (I’ll even take a b-side) focussing on hip-hop? Or should I just fan-fic that up myself?
I understand solicits go out months in advance and cover art doesn’t always reflect the story, but it seemed odd that Captain Marvel was nowhere to be seen in issue 15 of GOTG, is it just an instance of story ideas expanding beyond initial plans?
Because girls never exclude other girls or never exclude guys by claiming “safe space,” right? Jesus christ, I get that you have a daughter and you’re looking out for her, but that doesn’t mean that women have it any worse than guys now that you’re focusing on one. Wake the fuck up. What sex drops out of school at great rates? What sex has the highest poverty and suicide rate? What sex is less likely to get into college? Men. So stop being a mouthbreathing white knight.
Is the lack of coverage of upcoming X-Men happenings at recent comic conventions part of that “We hate X-Men/Fantastic Four because FOX” thing Marvel’s got going on? We’ve heard about Avenger stuff going into summer of next year, but rarely is there ever a scrap of X-news these days. I think you guys should get over the inane movie tribalism. You can still sell the comics to the comic book readers instead of being brats. It’s like company-wide Alan Moorism. You guys signed the contract…right?
