Just a week to go until this bad boy hits UK newsagents and some comic book stores: Judge Dredd: The Mega Collection. Aside from the fact that I’m pimping it as part of my day job, I’m writing the new feature content for the whole series, which is a hell of an undertaking – 80 books ordered thematically and covering everything from the Dredd epics such as The Apocalypse War and Necropolis to lesser-known Dredd-world series. I’ve been writing about 2000 AD and Judge Dredd for almost a decade (I think this year might actually be ten years!) but in terms of word count this is going to be more than I’ve ever tackled before. Phew.
The first book is America which, IMHO, is probably the best Dredd story ever written. Not bad for a £1.99 book. Go buy. It’s out on 21st January.
